It Started With Someone We Loved

NutriBrownRice® was born from one of the most painful chapters in Allycia's life.

Her sister passed away from cancer.

Losing someone so close changed the way Allycia thought about health, family and the small choices people make every day. It made her reflect on how easily nutrition can be neglected when life becomes busy—and how difficult it can be for families to know where to begin.

She could not change what had happened. But she could choose what to do with the experience.

That loss became a quiet determination to create something meaningful: a convenient, nourishing food product that could help families pay more attention to their daily nutrition before health became an afterthought.

Turning Grief Into Something That Could Help Others

After her sister's passing, Allycia began thinking more deeply about the relationship between daily nutrition and long-term wellbeing.

She saw a familiar problem. Many people wanted to eat better, but healthy living often felt complicated, expensive or difficult to sustain. Busy parents skipped meals. Children became accustomed to highly processed choices. Fibre-rich foods were often missing from everyday routines.

The challenge was not simply a lack of information. The challenge was making better nutrition practical enough to become a habit.

Together with Branden, Allycia began building NutriBrownRice® around a simple idea: take familiar whole-grain nutrition and make it convenient for real family life.

What began as a personal response to loss gradually became a larger mission—to help families make small, consistent improvements before nutrition became an urgent concern.
